‘Shoot Them Down’: CCP-Tied Twitter Account Threatens US Planes
Explicit threats of war are flying thick and fast from the genocidal Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Yesterday CCP dictator Xi Jinping reportedly told Joe Biden, “Those who play with fire will get burned.”1 CCP state propaganda outlet Global Times then tweeted a threat of “the use of military force” against the U.S., ominously warning, “If the US insists on going its own way, the Chinese military will never sit idly by.” Now today a Global Times writer tweeted out a threat to U.S. planes potentially visiting Taiwan, saying, “shoot them down.”
Hu Xijin is a commentator for Global Times. Today Hu Xijin seemingly escalated the increasingly open CCP hostility with a threat against the U.S. generally and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) specifically, a threat that violated Twitter’s own policies.
Hu’s argument is patently ridiculous, because Taiwan does not rightfully belong to the CCP, so US planes entering Taiwan would not be “invading” China. But regardless of the flaws in his argument, considering that Hu works for a government built on mass murder, it’s as well to take his threat seriously.
There’s an interesting and relevant side note I want to highlight. As Donald Trump asked on TruthSocial, why is Pelosi suddenly interested in visiting Taiwan? As Trump noted, Pelosi causes chaos and disaster wherever she goes—is she just trying to make “trouble and more money” from Taiwan? Or is the CCP-pandering Biden regime knowingly playing straight into the CCP’s hands?
Considering that the CCP has killed an estimated 500 million people, and has and is committing genocide in areas like Tibet and Xinjiang, it is well to treat their threats as more than mere hyperbole. After all, the CCP told its people in 2019 that it was entering a phase of war against the US. The murderous CCP has made its intention to seize free and democratic Taiwan very clear—and with the current CCP-pandering, feckless regime in charge of America, world war may very well be coming.
New York Post translated it as, “Those who play with fire will perish.”
