Remember Musk's Bid for CCP Support of Microchips as Twitter Deal Goes Ahead
There’s been a lot of jubilation and triumph from conservatives and other pro-free speech voices as Elon Musk is reportedly going ahead with his deal to buy Twitter. But just as when the deal was first announced, I think it’s necessary that we take a step back and ask ourselves if Elon Musk is to be trusted.
Sure, he said a lot of great things about free speech and the importance of families and support for solid conservative politicians like Ron DeSantis, but what do his actions tell us about him? And if Musk is so pro-free speech, why did he recently write an article for a Chinese state publication seeking support of his microchips and other tech from the least pro-free speech government in the world?
I have previously emphasized that Elon Musk is a transhumanist—that is, he believes in “augmenting” humans, including by brain chips, with the ultimate goal of supposedly achieving immortality, including by digitally uploading oneself. Musk’s Tesla also has a policy of paying for employees’ out-of-state abortion costs after the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Furthermore, Musk has invested an immense amount of money and effort into his Tesla China branch, where there was a scandal about how inhumanely Shanghai Tesla workers were being forced to work/live during the city’s insane Covid lockdowns. A Tesla China VP also praised the genocidal Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on Chinese state media.
The CCP is the greatest mass murderer of all time, currently running a draconian surveillance state to quash all freedom of speech and action, persecuting Chinese Catholics, and running internment/reeducation camps in Xinjiang. In China, the CCP has government officials inside every major business to monitor what is happening; and if the CCP official demands any data or information, the business has to do it, according to The China Show. Yet supposedly “pro-free speech” Musk is still pouring effort into his Tesla China branch. Excuse me if I wax skeptical.
But most suspicious of all is Musk’s recent article in a publication of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC). CAC is an official government agency of the genocidal CCP, and CAC oversees various invasive and authoritarian government efforts, including the CCP’s collection of data—including “non-private data”—from Chinese-based tech companies. Yet Musk penned an article a couple months ago for a CAC publication trying to inspire increased Chinese support for his artificial intelligence (AI), space travel, and microchips. Because apparently there’s no one more to be trusted on brain chips and AI than the worst tyrannical regime on the planet.
Here are a few key quotes from the translation of that piece:
“Humanoid robots: doing what humans do. . .The Tesla Bot is close to the height and weight of an adult. . .Achieving this goal requires that robots evolve to be smart enough and for us to have the ability to mass produce robots. Our ‘four-wheeled robots’ - cars - have changed the way people travel and even live. One day when we solve the problem of self-driving cars (i.e., real-world artificial intelligence), we will be able to extend artificial intelligence technology to humanoid robots, which will have a much broader application than cars. . .Perhaps the only scarcity that will exist in the future is for us to create ourselves as humans. . .
Some of our Chinese friends may not be as familiar with Neuralink as with electric cars. These companies focus on developing computer-human brain fusion technologies, developing brain chips the size of coins, similar to wearable devices such as smartphones, except that they integrate more deeply with the user's body—recording and stimulating brain activity. . .
This technology could allow humans to effectively integrate with artificial intelligence. . .Finally, my greatest hope is that humans create a self-sustaining city on Mars. . .I also welcome more like-minded Chinese partners to join us in exploring clean energy, artificial intelligence, human-machine collaboration, and space exploration to create a future worth waiting for.”
“Pro-free speech” Musk wants to fuse AI to humans—and he wants the greatest mass murderer of all time, the CCP, to help him do it.
