Ryan Samsel isn’t a violent insurrectionist, but he has been locked up, repeatedly beaten, denied necessities, cold, half-clothed, cut off from communication, harassed and tortured. This isn’t in China or Russia, but in America, and Ryan is just one of multiple Jan. 6 political prisoners thus abused.
Gateway Pundit’s headline sums it up: “A NATIONAL DISGRACE: Photos Leaked of Horrific January 6 Prisoner Abuse – Tortured 5 Months in Isolation in a Closet Room with Light on and a Bucket for a Toilet — Where are the ACLU, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch?”
Even more pertinently, where are the Republicans and all those who claim to cherish constitutional rights? The fact that this Marxist third-world tyranny has been allowed to continue in America without massive backlash from Congress and citizens across the country is a disturbing reflection on just how far America has fallen from its original ideals.
I have been writing for more than two years now about the absolutely appalling abuse of the Jan. 6 political prisoners. Since 2021, we have heard the horror stories of sewage overflows, brutal physical abuse, starvation, mental anguish, and strip searches. A thousand Americans (at least) have been arrested related to Jan. 6, which was not a violent insurrection and which was almost certainly a set-up by the feds. It’s been nothing but a political circus from the start; as just one illustration, Ray Epps, who claimed to have orchestrated the Capitol events of Jan. 6, is free and defended by the leftist media; meanwhile, a peaceful, unarmed Oath Keeper who didn’t even enter the Capitol that day received 18 years’ jail, and a man who put his feet up on Pelosi’s desk got 4.5 years’ jail.
“[Gateway Pundit, Aug. 17, emphasis added] During his two-and-a-half years without trial Ryan has been moved around to 17 different facilities. Ryan has been beaten, abused, tortured, and neglected since his arrest in January 2021…[Ryan’s Philadelphia] cell was a size of a closet with a light on all of the time. The cell had a thin blue mattress, no sheets or blankets, no clothing, and he was kept here for five months straight…
Ryan believes the government tortured him for months so he would rat out the Proud Boys. They even beat Ryan numerous times and kept him locked down so he couldn’t communicate with anyone.”
“I was kept in … a hard cell. And in that particular cell about five, six months. I even told you what was happening is the judge was actually calling, trying to get in contact with me because I wasn’t in a named cell,” Ryan told Gateway Pundit. “They were missing me and they were saying I wasn’t showing up to court. They were saying I wasn’t showing up to medical. But they were pretty much keeping me in there… Like I said, it was cold, the light was on, there’s zero window. And that followed me from Virginia. When I was in Virginia, it was the same exact conditions.”
He detailed those Virginia conditions. “It was Central Regional Virginia Jail (CVRJ). I was kept in and they called it booking hard cell, which is you get zero phone, zero commissary, zero clothing because they think that you’re going to hang yourself and you’re on constant surveillance. You’re under surveillance constantly. The light has to be on 24/7. You’re locked in a cell. There is no getting out. The windows in Virginia were covered by a black mat, so you weren’t able to see. And it’s constant nothing. It’s deprivation of everything.”
Most of the allegedly “conservative” media will not care, and the leftist media will continue to vilify Ryan and his fellow political prisoners. One of the reasons the Founding Fathers started the American Revolution was because Great Britain was denying basic rights and fair trials to Americans. The Founders would be staggered at such abuse as Ryan has experienced. Why aren’t there protests across America? Why aren’t Republicans impeaching every official who had something to do with this? Instead, Republicans are actually weaseling away from impeaching Joe Biden!
How far we have fallen into evil and cowardice.
Snopes, a Goebbel’s inspired washing machine, stated, “a public affairs official told us that he could confirm the photos ‘do not depict a cell at FDC Philadelphia.’ “ What a dissembling shameless betrayal of journalism - of course it does not “depict a cell,” it depicts a bizarre closet as used by the FBI to break a prisoner.
