Happy Sunday! It is the First Sunday of Advent in the Roman Catholic rite. As we prepare to celebrate Christ’s birth, we must remember that He chose to come as a humble baby in the poorest of circumstances. The Divine Creator of the Universe was born in a cave, a stable for animals! Like Christ, we must be willing to empty ourselves of material attachments and desire for worldly glory, as the saints we celebrate this week did.
