When I see this painting, in my mind the title is, ‘Jacob Pendergast crossing the Delaware with George Washington’ other times it is “James Cruikshank crossing with..”other times, it is “Peter and Ebenezer Hopman..” taking nothing away from a leader who is in the action himself. Now and then I add, “Washington and a boatload of men from Ulster.” (From Ulster myself.)
