IRS Agents Raid Gun Store, Take Only Gun Purchase Disclosure Records
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” —Thomas Jefferson
IRS agents reportedly just raided a gun shop in Montana. The 20 armed IRS agents didn’t take any financial records, just the records people fill out when they want to purchase firearms. In other words, the feds are gathering data on gun owners.
We already know that the Biden administration has almost a billion records of US citizens’ gun purchases. This is just more of the government’s worrisome data collection on gun owners. How will this information be used?
Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) shared details on the raid of the Great Falls gun store to Newsmax, as reported June 16. IRS agents took all the 4473 forms. As Rosendale explained, 4473 forms are “what everyone fills out to go to purchase a firearm, and it’s a just a big disclosure to make sure that you don’t have a criminal background or other reasons where you should not be purchasing a firearm. So the IRS took every single one of the 4473 [forms] that Tom VanHoose had in his possession there.” Rosendale is worried that “this is another attempt by the IRS to create a database of people that they can target for being conservatives, because they want to own their own firearm.”
As the Newsmax host Todd Starnes noted, with the federal government already going after pro-lifers, parents at school board meetings, Donald Trump and his allies, and others (including Jan. 6 prisoners), we know the feds are perfectly capable of ruining Americans’ lives with their unconstitutional and dictatorial political targeting. We know the Biden administration wants to confiscate guns, because an armed populace is harder to oppress (Democrats certainly don’t care about real criminals, as murderers and other violent criminals are released onto the streets every day). No wonder they want 87,000 new IRS agents.
This IRS raid is an ominous foreshadowing of the federal government’s next target: Americans who wish to exercise their Second Amendment rights to protect themselves, including against a tyrannical government.
