Covid Lockdowns Claimed 20X More Lives Than They Were Projected to Save

A new analysis from researchers at the Jerusalem College of Technology provided evidence that Covid-19 lockdowns claimed 20 times more lives than they were supposed to save. That means that the benefits were imaginary while the costs were all too real. And with the massive spikes in suicides, lack of proper care, and enforced isolation around the world, the analysis may be sobering, but it is hardly shocking.

This comes about simultaneous with Steve Kirsch’s data indicating that at least 5 million people have been killed by Covid-19 vaccines worldwide, with the vaccine death toll possibly being as high as 12 million.

The paper, which bases its conclusions on a comprehensive review of other relevant, lockdown-focused literature, was authored by researchers at the Jerusalem College of Technology. . .The team proceeds to quantify the estimated number of lives lost due to the COVID-19 mitigation measure, which drew strong support from Democrats and public health officials including Anthony Fauci, Deborah Birx, and Mike Pence. . .

Researchers singled out the World Health Organization (WHO). . .The paper doesn’t argue that lockdowns were merely ineffective; however, adding that they actually claimed the lives of the people public health officials claimed to be protecting. . .The findings follow the publication of other studies finding sizable drawbacks to lockdowns and other popular COVID-19 mitigation measures such as mask mandates.”

Isn’t is fascinating that the WHO treaty, if ratified, would essentially institutionalize lockdowns indefinitely? If the WHO is refusing to learn from its mistakes, in the face of so much public opinion dissent and cost in lives, it means WHO doesn’t care, and indeed wants to perpetuate the mistakes.

“Abstract: The present coronavirus crisis caused a major worldwide disruption which has not been experienced for decades. The lockdown-based crisis management was implemented by nearly all the countries, and studies confirming lockdown effectiveness can be found alongside the studies questioning it. In this work, we performed a narrative review of the works studying the above effectiveness, as well as the historic experience of previous pandemics and risk-benefit analysis based on the connection of health and wealth. Our aim was to learn lessons and analyze ways to improve the management of similar events in the future. The comparative analysis of different countries showed that the assumption of lockdowns’ effectiveness cannot be supported by evidence—neither regarding the present COVID-19 pandemic, nor regarding the 1918–1920 Spanish Flu and other less-severe pandemics in the past. The price tag of lockdowns in terms of public health is high: by using the known connection between health and wealth, we estimate that lockdowns may claim 20 times more life years than they save. It is suggested therefore that a thorough cost-benefit analysis should be performed before imposing any lockdown for either COVID-19 or any future pandemic.”

There is an old saying that those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. In this case, not only did people (or at least authorities) apparently not learn from history, they were not even interested in knowing whether lockdowns had helped in the past.

What evidence was used to decide we needed lockdowns? The lockdowns were imposed first and then, after the fact, scientists and doctors scrambled to cobble together studies supporting the measures, it seems to me. It was not about health—the Covid-19 pandemic measures were never about health, or authorities worldwide would not have suppressed effective treatments, enforced ineffective and dangerous treatments (e.g. Covid vaccines), and lied continually to their citizens.
