CCP More Public About Espionage After Its Police Stations Found Globally
“China Makes Its Espionage Public as Police Continue Active Operations on Foreign Soil, Says Former Diplomat and Defector.” I previously wrote about the dozens of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) police stations around the world in October, after which we discovered New York wasn’t the only US city with a station—Los Angeles is another. The Epoch Times reports that, instead of backing down after its police stations were discovered, the mass murdering CCP is just becoming more open about its kidnapping, persecution, intelligence, and espionage efforts. Yes, apparently these police stations were directly tied to CCP intelligence agencies.
The CCP’s arrogant attitude isn’t surprising. Most countries around the world have been infiltrated by the CCP or bought off by the CCP or both. Chinese state media openly boasts that a Chinese-led world order is replacing a US-led world order, the illegitimate Biden regime is a CCP-compromised joke, and the Chinese yuan is replacing the U.S. dollar as world reserve currency. No wonder China isn’t worried about consequences for its illicit and outrageous police stations in foreign countries.
“[The Epoch Times, April 6] China has been operating overseas police stations in G20 member states in the name of hunting down fugitives and recovering stolen assets. But according to a former Chinese diplomat, the presence of Chinese officers overseas is an open attack on the free societies in the host nations, and that China’s ruling communist party has shifted from covert to brazenly public espionage strategies.
Chen Yonglin—the former consul for political affairs at the Chinese consulate in Sydney, Australia, who defected in 2005—says that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has simply given up on keeping its espionage efforts on foreign soils secret after its overseas police stations were recently exposed.
Its ‘anti-corruption’ overseas police stations were exposed as spy intelligence stations by human rights NGO Safeguard Defenders in September 2022.”
The offices have even been found operating covertly out of businesses, including a Chinese restaurant. It’s like “sending in the military,” according to The China Show. And former intelligence officer and Trump advisor Anthony Shaffer recently indicated the number of CCP outposts in America could be much larger than the publicly-known tally. “Some Chinese restaurants across the nation are actually intelligence collection points for the Chinese intelligence service,” Shaffer said. “Most importantly, institutions of the United States government, to include the White House, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, were paid millions of dollars to essentially defer to China. I think that’s why we have such weak responses from the Biden White House, because they’ve been bought. I’m just saying it,” he added. That’s terrifying.
The China Show’s Matt Tye last year explained CCP police station activities against dissidents living in other countries. “They allowed a conduit to go into your country and find people that were not breaking local laws but breaking laws in China, and what they would do is coerce—they’d find their location, coerce them into this police office, and then instead of saying, ‘Here, let me help you renew your passport,’ they’re saying, ‘Here, let’s get on a video call, and by the way we have your parents on the other end, say hi!’” Epoch Times noted that police officials in the countries will sometimes willingly cooperate with the CCP, essentially giving the CCP blackmail material. As Matt said, “Next to their parents on the video call would be a police officer, or a public security bureau [official] in China saying, ‘You’re in big trouble, you better come back home before we punish your parents’” or children. The CCP will sometimes outright kidnap people.
“[Chen] explained that when the CCP first launched its operations, it was its Ministry of State Security personnel who were involved—China’s equivalent of the CIA and FBI. After that, Ministry of Public Security staff also started to be deployed overseas under the names ‘Operation Fox Hunt’ and ‘Operation Sky Net.’
While target nations were told that the operations were solely targeting the return of corrupt Chinese nationals to China to face criminal charges, Chinese were aware this was likely just a guise for the CCP’s ongoing global campaigns against Chinese dissidents…Chen warned that the partnerships have mostly facilitated the CCP’s infiltration of partner nations.”
These CCP police stations “Kidnap, Coerce, Murder,” often lying to their targets and promising lighter sentences and safety for family if they come back to China willingly (lies, of course). Meanwhile, if they don’t cooperate, “they would face consequences like the visas of their entire family getting revoked, or having their assets frozen.” It makes it easier to blackmail people when local authorities cooperate, leaving the targets feeling as if they have no redress.
“Chen said that small and developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific islands have basically succumbed to the CCP. It is really easy for the CCP to kidnap anyone in those areas…As for the outcome of Operation Fox Hunt, it was like what the regime claimed: Nearly 10,700 suspects from abroad, including more than 60 of China’s 100 most-wanted economic fugitives, have been caught.
Threats to life are a routine tactic the CCP adopts, Chen said, including threats to assassinate children and torture family members—all means of the underworld, Chen said…‘[The CCP] simply bribed the officials, customs, foreign ministries, and so on in many small countries to get the job done.”
The China Show in September estimated the number of dissidents forced back to China overall at 200,000 or perhaps even more. That’s a sobering number of people taken out by the CCP because the CCP is allow to operate in foreign lands.
Unfortunately, as Epoch Times and Chen put it, despite the revelations on the CCP’s activities abroad, “many countries continue their appeasement policy after years of money diplomacy and infiltration by the CCP.” And the United States is one of them.
