The U.S. military, the same that hasn’t won a war in decades and completely failed the Afghanistan pullout, is all geared up to adopt technology that can supposedly “read” a person’s mind, with interrogation applications—and potentially even implant false memories.
Frankly, I don’t trust anybody with a technology that could potentially hack into a person’s brain, but with military and civilian government leadership the way it is right now, with Joe Biden as commander-in-chief and woke, race-obsessed Gen. Brown as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, I certainly don’t want the US military to have that ability. It’s all very well to talk about using such technology, if it really works, to interrogate the enemies of the United States. But, as we know very well, the Biden administration has a habit of calling MAGA supporters, traditional Catholics, concerned parents, and pro-lifers their enemies, while ignoring actual terrorists and criminals.
The Washington Times announced on Oct. 20 an “international race…to perfect brain machine interfaces that turn people into Professor X-like superhumans capable of controlling devices with their thoughts.” It might sound exciting at first, but honestly, I can’t think of any government or entity with whom I would completely trust such a technology. Cryptologic warfare officer Lt. Cmdr. Mark Wess reportedly said, “No emerging technology is potentially more important to the military.” Both he and another expert agreed to interviews with the Washington Times, and then suddenly backed out. What don’t they want us to know?
I would note as a caution that scientists sometimes exaggerate the technology they have (particularly Communist Chinese scientists, mentioned below). We do not actually know if current technology could really hack into or implant false memories in people’s brains. But such is certainly the long-term goal, and that in and of itself is terrifying.
“[Washington Times] The Pentagon’s information warfare experts are warning about brain hacking, a technology capable of extracting and inserting information into minds…Brain machine interfaces, or BMI, also called brain computer interfaces, allow for a direct link between a brain’s electrical signals and a device that processes them to complete a task.
China says it has used the technology to make ‘mind reading’ possible, and two U.S.-based scientists have demonstrated the ability to insert false memories into mice…Cmdr. Wess envisioned a world where fellow naval officers use the technology to control a battleship’s navigation, weapons and engineering systems and ‘make the ship come to life through thought alone.’”
While the technology to hack and implant false memories in people’s brains seems to be more aspiration than reality right now, Wess already envisioned a world where such technology could be used to detect lies, and other uses for interrogation. “Can a person’s BMI [brain-machine interface] be hacked to extract information from a mind?” he wondered. “Could someone be interrogated merely by hooking them up to a BMI?”
Remember, under the Biden administration, around 1000 Jan. 6 prisoners have been arrested and many of them subjected to obscene conditions; filthy cells, physical and mental abuse, months of solitary isolation, denial not only of rights but of basic necessities. And yet the increasingly woke and incompetent military, currently controlled by Biden and his lackeys, wants the power to interrogate people by hacking their brains. Wess pretended to have ethical concerns, but one wonders whether the US government overall would have them. There are many good and brave people in the US military, but most are not in top leadership, unfortunately.
“The Department of Defense has funded deception detection studies looking at brain activity through neuroimaging, according to Capt. Ayesha Ahmad’s 2021 master’s thesis for the Naval Postgraduate School.
Capt. Ahmad reviewed the military’s previous neuroimaging experiments using electroencephalograms, which measure the brain’s electrical activity. She reported that the U.S. Navy used EEGs to classify deception with a median 95% statistical confidence and an error rate below 1%…She proposed a solution to advance the military’s capabilities that she labeled the Warfare Integrated Lie Detection System (WILDS). Capt. Ahmad’s sensors would measure electrical signals within the brain, blood flow to the brain, body temperature, heart rate and other inputs to get the truth out of U.S. enemies.”
Communist China claimed that it has technology to decode mental intent, and almost immediately the US Defense Department responded. Its Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology program aims to make wearable interfaces to control drones, per Washington Times. Military officers have also expressed interest in the technology that can supposedly hack into people’s brains, and even potentially implant false memories.
“Alongside using emerging technology to extract information from minds and control external devices, researchers are hard at work understanding how technology may be used to insert knowledge into a brain.
U.S.-based scientists created a false memory in the mind of a mouse after identifying the brain cells responsible for encoding memories. The scientists used lasers to activate the rodent’s brain cells and implant a false memory. After the results were published 10 years ago, Smithsonian Magazine hailed the research as a neuroscience breakthrough.
Military officers expressed an interest in applying the technology to animals in the short term and humans in the long term.
Air Force Maj. Mark W. Vahle wrote about the mice experiments in 2019 and said increased investment in brain technology in the next five to 20 years may lead to socially acceptable deployment for ‘remote animal control.’”
And what about humans? After all, globalists, including the Biden administration, have signed on to plans that envision China’s authoritarian nightmare becoming global, with constant surveillance and complete control from the government using technology. A person in China cannot purchase anything or go anywhere without a good score on his digital social credit ID. What if the government could not only control one’s actions externally, but potentially mess with one’s brain? What if brain microchips like Neuralink become mandatory, and the government controls them? It’s a truly terrifying prospect.
