Some leftist radicals have tried to gin up hysteria over the accidental death of violent criminal Jordan Neely. Neely, who had been arrested 44 times before, including for multiple assaults and attempted child abduction, was homeless and had an arrest warrant out for him when young Marine Daniel Penny subdued him with a chokehold that ended up causing Neely’s death on a Manhattan subway.
There are a lot of facts that leftists like AOC, fixating on the skin colors of Penny and Neely, don’t want you to know. That includes the fact Neely’s supposedly devastated family cared so little for Neely that he was homeless when he died. Perhaps they are truly sorry now and wish they’d helped Neely. Or maybe the media gave them a chance at fame. MRCTV’s Nick Kangadis lays it all out: WATCH IT HERE.
“Mr. Neely had a documented history of violence and erratic behavior, the apparent result of ongoing and untreated mental illness,” explained Penny’s lawyers. “When Mr. Neely began aggressively threatening Daniel Penny and other passengers, Daniel, with the help of others, acted to protect themselves, until help arrived. Daniel never intended to harm Mr. Neely and could not have foreseen his untimely death.” Again, Neely had a long history of violent behavior. In a sane world, Neely’s death would be an unfortunate accident, the result of his years of violent criminality.
Kangadis says that Neely was still breathing when Penny put him in the recovery position. Penny seemingly tried too hard with the chokehold (though we know Neely had a history with drugs, just like the infamous George Floyd, which could have been a factor), but evidence supports the argument he didn’t intend to kill Neely and thought Neely would recover from the chokehold, which was meant to prevent Neely from attacking his fellow passengers.
As Kangadis said, if New York would actually lock up violent criminals like Neely, none of this would have happened. Unfortunately, Penny is likely to have his life destroyed because he tried to incapacitate temporarily—not kill—a criminal who should have been in prison, not free to harass and assault people on the subway.
