US Postal Service Illegally Spied on Anti-Biden Orgs
Big Brother (ahem, more inclusively, Big Sibling) strikes again! The US Postal Service (USPS) was conducting illegal surveillance on anti-Biden groups after the fraudulent 2020 election, according to newly revealed documents obtained by FOIA request. Thank goodness we got rid of Trump and his “mean” tweets so that we could have a truly democratic leader in office. There’s nothing that says “rule by the people” like illegally spying on the people who don’t go along with the government’s narrative.
This isn’t USPS’s only effort at being spies, though. In April 2021, it was revealed that USPS had been monitoring Americans’ social media posts, including posts about planned protests. Some of that monitoring specifically targeted “right-leaning accounts.” And in May of this year USPS asked for a digital ID database, pushing for their federal agency to have a larger role in verifying biometric (facial recognition) data and identity.
“[Rogue Review] A new report conducted by the Inspector General over the last year and a half has revealed that the United States Postal Service illegally conducted surveillance on anti-Biden groups following the 2020 Presidential election, according to documents.
The surveillance took place against groups who were planning the ‘Million Maga March’ on January 20th, 2021, and was especially targeted at Virginia-based organizations.
Center-right think tank CATO obtained the documents after submitting a FOIA request in light of a Yahoo News report which showed facial recognition is being used to monitor Americans’ speech and movements.”
Facial recognition! That’s how China, which is conducting mass persecutions and genocide, tracks people too. Nothing like taking a few tips from murderous dictatorships.
USPS is hardly the only federal agency working as an arm of the Biden regime’s attempted surveillance state, either. The FBI used a false pretext to raid Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, where their official zeal was so excessive as to cause them to ransack Melania Trump’s closet—she may be sewing nuclear codes into her designer dresses, right?—and throw empty folders on the ground for an illustrative—and staged—photograph (because you can totally take snapshots of classified documents and post them on social media). The FBI then raided the homes of at least 35 Trump supporters. Interesting how much the FBI dragged its feet when it came to investigating the horrendous Hunter Biden laptop, but it is alarming how expeditious it is at hunting down conservatives.
“The US Post Office used the ruse of monitoring how the Million MAGA March would affect traffic around the DC area to conduct the surveillance. CATO’s Senior Fellow Patrick Eddington also noted a so-called ‘threat’ against Speaker Pelosi was purportedly uncovered by the USPS’ illegal surveillance. However, the details are redacted:
‘Of particular note in the released documents, is still-redacted information on threats to the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi … If that information has not been provided to the January 6 select committee, the Committee should demand it be turned over,’ Eddington said.
The report also learned that the US Postal Service conducted surveillance on right-wing groups in the state of Virginia who attended what is known as ‘Lobby Day’ in the capital of Richmond on September 17, 2021.
Some of the groups who attended were the Proud Boys, Boogaloo Boys, and the Last Sons of Liberty. Other peaceful Second Amendment supporters joined as well.”
The Proud Boys were accused of all kinds of crimes on Jan. 6 of which they were later cleared by the testimony of the FBI’s own plant, interestingly enough. Too bad federal agencies weren’t more worried about actually violent organizations such as Antifa.
“A majority of the report that was released was redacted, including the alleged threats against House Speaker Pelosi.” Gee, I wonder why. Maybe because the pretext USPS used to spy on Americans was more BS so the feds could target political opponents?
