United We Stand, Divided We Fall: Americans of All Backgrounds, Beliefs at Anti-Vax Mandate Rally
“Nobody in the history of the planet has ever complied their way out of totalitarian control.” —Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. at ‘Defeat the Mandates’ rally
Yesterday, Jan. 23, I attended the anti-vaccine mandate rally (“Defeat the Mandates” rally) in Washington, D.C. Freedom-lovers around the world were protesting Covid tyranny, and in D.C.—fittingly enough—the rally following the march happened in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Just as Lincoln lost even his life fighting to ensure freedom for all people, and fighting for unity for the US, so the rally yesterday was a gathering of people from very diverse backgrounds and political convictions coming together as a unified front to fight for basic liberties.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (RFK) warned that there was a “coup d’état” of basic Constitutional rights during the Covid “pandemic,” including the right to free speech and the right to free practice of religion. He also insisted that we cannot comply at all and expect to defeat tyranny; “Every time you comply, you get weaker.” Kennedy sarcastically asked how anyone could trust pharma companies that have been lying for years, and pointed out that the new totalitarianism is unique in that you can never run or hide, as (for instance) was at least remotely possible in East Berlin or Nazi Germany. “Today the mechanisms are being put in place so none of us can run and none of us can hide,” Kennedy said. Here are three points RFK Jr. wanted the audience to memorize:
“‘1. Every power that government takes from us, it will never relinquish voluntarily. … They will never let it go until we make them let it go.
‘2. Every power they take from us they will ultimately abuse to the maximum extent possible.
‘3. Nobody in the history of the planet has ever complied their way ou[t] of totalitarian control. … Every capitulation is a signal to the oppressors to impose new forms of torment or torture.’”
Former professional mountain biker Kyle Warner gave a speech about how his Covid vaccine injury had ended his career. Warner was surrounded by others who had been seriously injured by the vaccine, or lost a family member to the vaccine, as he spoke. Warner challenged officials trying to mandate the jab to meet with the people whose lives were ruined by the jab. “Look them in their eyes, acknowledge their suffering, admit this is real, not just rare,” he said. “Make the companies responsible for the damage they are causing. . .to even consider requiring a vaccine that no one will stand behind is a total disgrace to the very idea of America.”
Dr. Tess Lawrie joined the rally virtually from the U.K. “When we disconnect from each other, we are easy game. . .We are responsible for ourselves because we are free.” Lawrie added, “It’s time to step away from fear starting today. This is reality.”
Covid vaccine data researcher Steve Kirsch detailed some shocking statistics. “According to over 12 studies, the vaccines are killing at least 15 people for every life that the vaccines were projected to save,” Kirsch said. “And we are permanently disabling even more. For kids, I’ve seen a risk benefit analysis showing we kill over 100 kids to save 1 kid from COVID.” Kirsch added another stunning fact, saying he “offered $1M to the members of the outside committees of the FDA and CDC if they would meet with me just so I could ask a few questions on camera. They all refused.” And if that doesn’t tell you they know they lied, I don’t know what does.
Multiple brave doctors spoke at the rally, including Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Robert Malone. Dr. Ryan Cole harked back to Abe Lincoln’s declaration that America could only die if it self-destructed. Dr. Cole also slammed the censorship of honest Covid/vaccine information from the media and social media. “The narrative has cracked and the dam is flowing,” he said of the truth on the Covid pandemic. The doctors announced that 17,000 doctors and medical professionals had now signed on to the manifesto about the true science surrounding Covid-19. “We are not one doctor. We are 17,000 doctors!” Dr. Richard Urso exclaimed, emphasizing how foolish it is to pretend there is a medical consensus supporting such dangerous measures as mass vaccination.
But even apart from the truly inspirational, galvanizing words of the rally’s speakers, there was another important thought with which I came away from the rally. The thought was tied to the fact that there were Americans of all backgrounds and belief systems attending and speaking at that rally—conservatives, former leftists, Muslims, Jews, Christians, clerics, a comedian, a rapper, doctors, lawyers. There were even non-Americans like Tess Lawrie who participated.
As I stood in front of the Lincoln Memorial, I thought how a year ago I could never have predicted that I would stand in the cold listening to a Nation of Islam representative and a Kennedy. To a certain extent the Covid tyranny has transcended many political divides. Now, I don’t think that we should pretend we are all exactly on the same page. For all the Nation of Islam speaker talked about not fighting over religion yesterday, Nation of Islam has a strong history of anti-Semitism. We need to be wary and wise as well as welcoming.
On the other hand, it is good when crises bring together former enemies—and sometimes, the enemies are truly changed into friends. There is historical precedent for this. U.S. Grant was a slave owner and a Democrat prior to the Civil War—not particularly political, but evidence indicates he didn’t want Lincoln to win the presidential election. When the Civil War began, Grant found that he could not go with so many of his fellow Democrats and fight against the Union. After the war, Grant became a Republican president and perhaps the greatest presidential champion of the rights of American Indian tribes and black Americans in our history. Even now, Dr. Naomi Wolf, who worked for the Clintons, is on Gettr and finds that she prefers visiting in conservative towns to visiting leftist cities. RFK Jr. is finding that only people like Steve Bannon will have him on, not his fellow leftists like CNN.
We must NEVER compromise our principles, NEVER compromise on the truth, to attain a good end. On the other hand, as the anti-vaccine mandate rally yesterday demonstrated, take allies where you can get them, if they currently want to accomplish the same good—and after finding your common ground, work to end tyranny together while trying to bring them to the full truth along the way.
