The unemployment rate just jumped to the highest level in 32 months thanks to Bidenomics. Yet Democrats keep trying to tout the fantasy of a roaring economy.
The supposed “economic growth” touted by the Biden-Harris administration is actually just government spending, i.e., taxpayer spending/government debt, which is unsustainable. And it appears all that bragging about job creation was also just a Democrat lie.
In fact, if you add the official unemployment number to the number of Americans who want a job but for some reason weren’t actively searching within a certain timeframe, the unemployment statistic is 12.8 million Americans.
From MRCTV/CNSNews:
The unemployment rate rose to the highest level in 32 months in July, as job growth plummeted from June’s mark, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported Friday.
The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate rose to 4.3 percent in July, up from 4.1 percent in June, hitting the highest level since October 2021 (4.5 percent). July’s unemployment rate was also well above year-ago (3.5 percent in July 2023).
Job growth plunged to 114,00, disappointing analysts’ expectations and off from a downwardly-revised 179,000 increase in June. As a result, July’s job growth was far below the 200,000 level considered “normal” for a month.
The number of unemployed is up 352,000 compared to the previous month, reaching 7.2 million and therefore surpassing last year’s number of 5.9 million unemployed. Significantly, “the number of people employed part time for economic reasons” went up to 4.6 million, an increase of 346,000 compared to June.
CNSNews also noted that there are 366,000 more Americans not in the labor force who do want to get a job, making that overall number 5.6 million in July. This is significant because, since these millions were not actively searching for a job in the four weeks before the survey was conducted, they are not included in the unemployment statistic. So actually, 12.8 million Americans are unemployed. Let’s Go, Brandon.
“Meanwhile, BLS lowered its estimated number of jobs created for both May and June by a combined 29,000,” MRCTV added. Typical shenanigans—over-report the jobs numbers, and don’t clarify how many are part-time (or going to migrants). Let’s hope all those unemployed Americans remember who’s responsible for this catastrophic economy when they go to vote in November.
