So what happened last night? That’s what all the Republicans are asking. Nothing makes sense. 73 to 75% of the country thought we were heading the wrong direction, there was record turnout, exit polls were strongly favorable to Republicans, states like Nevada and Arizona added Republican votes, and Florida indicated a smashing red wave. So how is it that Republicans barely switched the House and we need to pray now for the Senate? I’ll say it in one word:
CHEATING.
Mike Lindell, Project Veritas, and others have already provided evidence of it. We saw 2020 all over again, and apparently Republicans learned nothing and did nothing to prepare (to that extent, it was Republicans’ fault).
I don’t know why the concept of massive cheating is still so controversial to Americans. The Democrats have been cheating on a large and blatant scale since at least the Civil War, and they have been lying and trying to manipulate elections dishonestly since the very first Democrat president, Andrew Jackson. I previously wrote about this for the Rogue Review. I mean, I know there are people who are insanely loyal to the Democrat party no matter what, which is how we have a dead Democrat who won his election last night (and as deceiving as appearances might be, I am not speaking of Fetterman), but all the polls and then the exit polls showed Democrats being crushed.
Yes, 2020 and now 2022 may represent a more coordinated, wide-scale cheat than ever happened before simply because there is more technology available now, but it’s really just the same old story. This IS the Democrat party of your grandfathers, and great-grandfathers, and great-great-great-grandfathers. The Democrats have been cheating and lying to win for hundreds of years. It’s just how they “win.”
That said, Republicans do need to bear some responsibility. I think a lot of the blaming of Trump is unfair (out of 183 of his endorsements 174 won), not because I don’t think he’s made a lot of mistakes in the past few years, or because I think that he didn’t pick a couple of bozo candidates this time (Oz may not have really lost to Vegeman—er, Fetterman, but he likely didn’t require as much cheating to beat), but because he has been warning everyone about the necessity of fixing 2020 for two years. There were so many Republicans who kept saying in frustration that it was time to move on from 2020. I think last night was a perfect and disturbing illustration of exactly why we can’t move on from 2020.
The same people were counting in many of the states that were stolen from Trump in 2020. The same machines were being used. And the same Republican leaders were ignoring what went on. The Republican leadership did everything possible to undermine themselves before the election, and they are unlikely to do anything about bogus losses after it. That too is the same old story, because Democrats have always cheated and Republicans usually ignored it. Democrats are the party of evil political masterminds, and Republicans are the party of happy losers. Unfortunately America has been suffering between the two of them for a long time now.
Perhaps it’s a good time to recall, how did the Founding Fathers deal with a tyrannical government that would not allow them to rule themselves according to the law?
Paper ballots and one day counting works across France, whatzup America?
You are a peach, Catherine.
"There were so many Republicans who kept saying in frustration that it was time to move on from 2020. I think last night was a perfect and disturbing illustration of exactly why we can’t move on from 2020."
Exactly. The republicans who were saying to move on are the same ones wanting the grift to continue starting with Mitch McConnell and his wife's CCP shipping business; he spent Trump's money supporting democrats.
