The U.S. Border Crisis in Headlines
There is a U.S. border crisis that is going to affect all Americans sooner or later. Just a few illustrative headlines/synopses, most from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP):
“Four MS-13 Gang Members Arrested in the Rio Grande Valley Within 14 Hours.” Also arrested were two sexual criminals.
“Rio Grande Valley Sector [RGV] agents arrested two Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang members with criminal histories in their home country of El Salvador and two Guatemalan nationals previously convicted in the United States of sex crimes against children.”
Heroes: “Border Patrol Agents Rescue Man from Burning Car” in Texas. And “[CBP's] AMO Marine Unit rescues man from sinking aircraft off Florida coast.”
“Convicted Sex Offender Arrested by [CA] Border Patrol Agents.” Specifically, the migrant, who was previously ordered deported, committed 2nd degree rape.
“[California] Agents Rescue an Injured Migrant in the Mountains.” Left behind by his fellow illegal migrants, as is fairly typical in such situations. “Laredo [TX] Sector Border Patrol Rescues [10] Individuals from a Grain Hopper Railcar.”
More human smuggling in Texas: “RGV Agents Discover. . .53 Migrants at a Stash House In McAllen. . .Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol (RGV) agents interdicted six migrant smuggling attempts over the weekend that resulted in 78 arrests.” Also in Texas: “Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended over 100 Individuals during three smuggling attempts.”
“CBP at the LA/Long Beach Seaport ReportsRecord-Breaking Year for Seizures of Counterfeit and Prohibited Merchandise.”
To close: “In October, the first month of Fiscal 2022, U.S. authorities encountered 164,303 undocumented migrants at the Southwest border, down 14 percent from the 192,001 encountered in September; but a whopping 128.42 percent more than the 71,929 encountered in October 2020; and 263.99 percent more than the 45,139 encountered in October 2019. . .For all of Fiscal 2021, which ended on September 30, U.S. authorities encountered 1,734,686 noncitizens, an all-time high.”
