Never Forget: A Prayer from a 9/11 Hero
Today is the anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
I want to share a prayer written by Fr. Mychal Judge, a Franciscan priest, chaplain of the New York Fire Department, and first recorded casualty of 9/11 (killed by falling debris as he gave Last Rites to the dying at the Twin Towers):
“Lord, take me where you want me to go, let me meet who you want me to meet, tell me what you want me to say, and keep me out of your way.”
A touching prayer written by Father Mychal Judge, NYFD chaplain who lost his life on 9/11 #NeverForget
To remember 9/11 means to live up to the standard of heroism and self-sacrifice of that day. We must never forget.
