UPDATE: The Senator McConnell Press account on Twitter has issued a very brief, two-sentence statement regarding the FBI raid.
The FBI conducted a totally unjustified and outrageous raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago home in Florida. It was so bogus and authoritarian that Mark Levin called it “the worst attack on this republic in modern history.” But there is one prominent Republican who has said absolutely nothing about the Biden regime’s insanity, and that is Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
McConnell has a history of being cowardly and traitorous to his own party, but it is significant that he was not even willing to issue a statement on the unprecedented FBI raid of a former president’s home.
Both of McConnell’s Twitter accounts have no comment:
And one of the accounts does have tweets since the raid happened—just not about the raid.
McConnell’s website also has no statement on the raid.
To give the frequently weaselly and spineless GOP House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy credit, he at least issued a strongly-worded statement.
But from McConnell, nothing.
Sometimes silence speaks louder than words. And I think Mitch McConnell just outed himself again as a traitorous backstabber who cares more for Democrats’ opinions than for justice and this great republic.
Senator McConnell is a ranking member of the uni-party with all the accoutrements membership provides, excess wealth, power, get out of jail free card, etc. He won't say anything because that would jeopardize his high standing in the uni-party which is dedicated to the growth and preservation of the unelected "deep state" government.
As Justice Scalia pointed out, “Every tin horn dictator in the world today, every president for life, has a Bill of Rights,” said Scalia, author of the 2012 book “Reading Law: The Interpretation of Legal Texts.” “That’s not what makes us free; if it did, you would rather live in Zimbabwe. But you wouldn’t want to live in most countries in the world that have a Bill of Rights. What has made us free is our Constitution. Think of the word ‘constitution;’ it means structure.” “The genius of the American constitutional system is the dispersal of power,” he said. “Once power is centralized in one person, or one part [of government], a Bill of Rights is just words on paper.”
That is why McConnell wont speak out hard on what transpired, it is in the best interest of the uni-party.
I believe McConnell is not a Trump fan. (Doesn't he actually hate him?) So of course McConnell will not condemn this Brown Shirts raid because he's glad Trump got harassed. If he had any integrity, if he took seriously his oath to defend the Constitution, he would condemn the raid as a purely political action that violates the Bill of Rights. But he won't because he has no integrity and doesn't give a crap about the US Constitution. He, like so many in Washington, cares only about power and money, how much he can get and how much he can keep for himself.
