Globalists, World Economic Forum Tout "Great Reset" Initiative
The World Economic Forum (WEF) website has a page advertising the “Great Reset initiative,” calling for a massive globalist “reset of our economic and social foundations.”
WEF and the Prince of Wales started the Great Reset initiative back in early June, 2020. The intent was that the “Great Reset” would be the theme of a twin summit to be convened by WEF in January 2021. Other key individuals involved with the initiative’s launch were Bradford L. Smith, president of Microsoft, and Ajay S. Banga, CEO of Mastercard. The Great Reset was a direct result of WEF’s Covid Action Platform. The goal was to sway authorities with the power of determining “the future state of global relations, the direction of national economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons.” Note the last part especially: this is an openly and decidedly globalist initiative. It is meant to erase the uniqueness of nations, not help nations qua nations.
On the World Economic Forum website, the “microsite” for the Great Reset specifically calls for “global stakeholders” to handle the “consequences” of the Covid pandemic. The idea is that a group of elites from various countries will remake and control the entire world. This is all frank and open. Below is the stated mission of the “Great Reset,” taken from the WEF website:
“To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”
There’s nothing secretive about this. Notice that the only two countries mentioned by name are the US (acknowledged leader of the free world) and China (the greatest Communist, totalitarian superpower). Particularly interesting since China has shown itself to be America’s enemy. And even more strange considering the explosion of studies and evidence, starting back in 2020 and continuing until today, that Covid-19 was very likely manufactured in and leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China.
Why should China be one of the leaders of an initiative to remake the world after the pandemic it caused? Why, indeed, does the world need to be completely remade at all? Governments across the world deliberately destroyed their economies and sabotaged community to stop the spread of a virus that killed far fewer people than one would think from the extreme reaction (for instance, to use the US as an example, an estimated 606,520 Americans died from cancer in 2020, and around 42,060 Americans died in 2020 from car accidents, while, from the start of the Covid pandemic until now—and remember, the statistics have been proven to be greatly exaggerated, by admission even of the CDC itself—601,079 Americans have died from Covid-19. This in a country with over 332 million people—that’s about 0.002% of America that has died from Covid). Global governments deliberately and unnecessarily created the crisis the “Great Reset” claims to need to address.
Also, one other key note—the “Great Reset” plan is entirely based on the premise that any major problem in nations or the world must be fixed by the government and the richest, most influential private-sector individuals. This is pure nonsense. Firstly, I believe that the governments of all nations should have had no powers to impose any restrictions relative to the pandemic—it is not federal government’s job (or it should not be) to tell us how to or force us to stay healthy.
Secondly, where is the speech about the people of the world, the citizens of the nations? Notice that, whether they are being malevolent or benevolent, autocrats such as the WEF always start with the basic premise that they need to come in and fix the people’s lives because the people are inherently too stupid or powerless to fix anything themselves. This is completely contrary to the American ethos, but it is also contrary to a healthy view of human nature in general—the view that every human has free will and can make good or bad choices that change his life. Judeo-Christian values have taught the latter for thousands of years.
Beware of elitism in any form. Elitism always, without exception, turns into tyranny.
