Exc: CCP’s Global Times Says China Not ‘Warlike’ Days after ‘Cannon Fodder’ Threat to Taiwan
Exclusive: Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-controlled Global Times is continuing the proud Communist tradition of brazenly lying, without any attempt to hide its own contradictions. On Oct. 4, Global Times threatened Taiwan and anyone who helped Taiwan with being "cannon fodder." This week Global Times is vehemently protesting that calling China "warlike" is "based on imaginations and misinterpretations." Because when you're a Marxist, you have no obligation to tell the truth. And if you have a big enough army, and cowardly enough opponents (the West), you can sure get away with anything.
Global Times Editor-in-Chief Hu Xijin said the following in the video clip posted on Twitter Oct. 13:
“'Warlike' is new label given to China by the US and the West. However, this label is based on imaginations and misinterpretations of China's behavior. . .For example, China has not fought in any foreign wars or military conflicts since 1988. How many wars did the US fight during this period?. . .The Americans and British accuse China of being 'warlike.' Isn't this funny?”
Oh, I'm in stitches. I'm guessing the "cannon fodder" comment was pure imagination. Is anyone else seeing this alleged fantasy I keep seeing on Twitter? Here is the Oct. 4 Global Times tweet again just to remind you how utterly hypocritical Global Times is:
Also, as to the argument that China is not "warlike" because it has not recently engaged in foreign conflicts (which, at least from a cyber standpoint, is an iffy statement), apparently killing more than 65 million of your own people doesn't count as "war." I guess mass genocide of the Chinese themselves as well as ethinic and religious minorities like the Uyghurs does not fall under the heading "warlike." Hu's argument is about as on target as a Biden admin drone strike in Afghanistan.
