As the Supreme Court hears arguments on presidential immunity, it seems a good time to pause and remember again that Donald Trump did not commit the crimes of which is accused, especially not the New York “felonies.” In contrast, however, the Democrats prosecuting him likely have committed a crime.
Corrupt, Soros-tied NY DA Alvin Bragg has managed to create dozens of felony charges against Donald Trump out of one charge, and is trying to pretend that questioning elections is a crime—even though Democrats have aggressively denied elections for centuries, and despite ample evidence of 2020 election fraud. It’s complete nonsense, nothing but an attempt to put Trump in jail by hook or by crook—mostly the latter—before he could possibly win the 2024 election.
Legal expert Mike Davis tweeted a brief but excellent summary on April 24:
“It’s not a crime to object to a presidential election.
Allowed by the Electoral Count Act of 1887.
And First Amendment.
It’s definitely a crime to weaponize law enforcement against political enemies.
Conspiracy against rights, 18 U.S. Code § 241.
Lawyer up, Biden Democrats.”
I have previously explained why the New York charges against Trump are bogus. Besides being accused of questioning an election, Trump is also accused of giving money to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged affair. Ignore the fact that even if Trump had ordered the hush money, paying hush money is not itself even illegal—let alone a felony. Furthermore, a letter signed by Daniels, which she also admitted to signing (though she vaguely claimed “pressure” to do so), “dated 2018, refutes any claims of an affair between the two.”
But what about those Democrats for whom there is actually solid evidence that they committed crimes? What about the foreign money laundering of the Biden family? What about when Bill Clinton had to pay a hefty settlement to one woman he sexually harassed, or when Clinton committed perjury? What about Hillary Clinton’s classified material-related crimes, or Biden feloniously and illicitly stashing classified documents?
The reality is that you can commit almost any crime as a Democrat and get away with it, but if you are Trump or one of his supporters (like John Eastman, Peter Navarro, or Jeff Clark), your innocence is no protection from aggressive lawfare.
