DEMS LIE: Pro-Life, Not Pro-Abort, Orgs Need Protection from Escalating Violence
As of June 14, 23 pro-life organizations had been firebombed or otherwise vandalized. Since then, “a prominent abortion activist group called ‘Jane’s Revenge’ promised more attacks on pro-life centers and affirming establishments,” and they apparently made good (or bad) their promise as vandals violently attacked a Michigan pregnancy center. But woke NY Gov. Kathy Hochul lived up to the proud Democrat tradition of protecting the victimizers while calling them victims, by giving $10 million to abortion centers to protect them (presumably against pro-lifers). Except it was a New York crisis pregnancy center, not an abortion clinic, that was firebombed.
“[Last month, Hochul] directed the Division of Criminal Justice Services to coordinate $10 million in funding for ‘safety and security capital grants for abortion providers and reproductive health centers to further secure their facilities and ensure the safety of patients and staff.’
No abortion clinics have been firebombed in New York State but a crisis pregnancy center in Buffalo has. So who gets the money to protect staff? The abortion clinics.
What makes this so nauseating is the rash of violence against pro-life facilities nationwide, as well as plans to conduct a ‘Night of Rage’ against them following the release of the Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade. Yet Hochul refuses to afford them the kind of protection she offers abortion clinics, none of which has been threatened or torched.
On June 13, Hochul signed legislation to protect abortion rights ahead of the expected high court decision on Roe. She also took the opportunity to declare war on crisis pregnancy centers. The bill she is promoting authorizes an investigation of these entities.”
For context, since Roe v. Wade was legalized in the US, the number of aborted babies between 1973 and 2022 (63.46 million) in the US is more than 52 times greater than the number of Americans killed in all US conflicts combined. As of 2015, 36% of US abortions were of black babies, even though black Americans made up about 13% of the population, emphasizing how racist abortion is. Black and Hispanic babies continued to make up a disproportionate percentage of abortions as of 2019. And pro-abortion Democrats are hell-bent (emphasis on hell) on perpetuating that racist mass genocide.
Furthermore, if you think this is just about “choice,” think again—over 20 congressmen (including 14 senators) and the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) recently pressured Google to suppress all links to pro-life crisis pregnancy centers in favor of abortion clinics. The CCDH report cited by the congressmen claimed that 11.46 percent of results for the queries “abortion clinic near me” and “abortion pill” in 13 states were actually pregnancy centers, or what CCDH called “anti-abortion fake clinics.”
CCDH negatively spun the fact that crisis pregnancy centers outnumber abortion clinics 3 to 1 in the US—goodness knows we wouldn’t want options for pregnant mothers, or any care during or after pregnancy that doesn’t involve hacking and vacuuming up unborn babies! This is the same attitude Hochul had in protecting abortion facilities while targeting pregnancy centers, and the reason Antifa celebrated the firebombing of a pregnancy center. Pro-abortion leftists don’t want choice, they want more babies to die.
