Nigeria is arguably the most dangerous place in the world to be Christian, with 8 out of 10 Christians killed globally for their faith in 2021 being Nigerian. That genocide of Nigerian Christians by radical Muslims is ongoing. Which begs the question—why does the Biden regime, which professes to be the champion of oppressed black people, refuse to recognize the mass murder of Nigerian Christians?
In fact, the Biden State Department seems to be happy for Africans to die, because despite violent persecution of Christians in multiple African countries including Nigeria, Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Sudan, only one African country (Eritrea) is on the State Department list of Countries of Particular Concern for religious freedom violations (the Central African Republic, Comoros, and Algeria are on the Special Watch List). Boko Haram does make the list of Entities of Particular Concern but Nigeria, where Boko Haram carries out its murderous activities, does not. That’s preposterous and disgusting.
Nigeria wouldn’t be off the list so the Biden regime could legitimize its billion dollar sale of arms to Nigeria, would it?
The anti-Christian Biden regime funds “Palestinian” terrorists out of fake compassion, but it actually removed Nigeria from the State Department list of countries of particular concern for religious freedom violations. Apparently genocide isn’t concerning when it happens to Africans and Christians? I guess the Biden regime agrees with the United Nations that there are too many Nigerians?
“[Christian Post, Feb. 10] The U.S. State Department has reaffirmed its decision to remove Nigeria from its list of countries of particular concern for religious freedom violations after conducting a ‘careful review’ following objections from Nigerian Christians, human rights groups and members of Congress.
A State Department spokesperson told The Christian Post in an emailed statement that Nigeria does not meet the ‘legal threshold for designation under the International Religious Freedom Act’…
Christian rights groups have warned for years about the deteriorating religious freedom conditions in Nigeria amid the rise of terror groups like Boko Haram and the Islamic State in the northeast. In addition, advocates have warned about an increase in deadly violence against predominantly Christian communities committed by radical herders in the farming-rich Middle Belt states…
According to the watchdog group Open Doors, Nigeria ranks No. 6 on the organization’s 2023 World Watch List, which ranks the top 50 worst countries for Christian persecution. The watchdog group reported that in 2022, 5,014 Christians were killed for their faith, and 4,726 were abducted.”
Ranking Nigeria number 6 for the World Watch List does not emphasize that Nigeria was and possibly still is the country where Christians are most likely to be killed for their faith. But in any case, as the World Watch List emphasizes, Nigerian Christians are in a very dangerous situation.
“As The Christian Post reported, the Biden administration has taken a different approach to its handling of the rising violence in Nigeria than the Trump administration. Secretary of State Antony Blinken removed Nigeria from the CPC list in November 2021 after it was added to the list by then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo under the Trump administration in December 2020.”
The Biden administration is an anti-Christian, racist, criminal regime.
