“For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.” —Jn.3:16
“Love is love” is a meaningless platitude which woke leftists hysterically spout. One cannot define a word merely by repeating it, but behind this silliness is a sinister misdefinition of love which is poisoning America and the rest of the West, and which is totally opposed to the understanding of love in the book on which the Founding Fathers based so much of their philosophy: the Bible.
This week was the feast of St. John the Apostle, who wrote a Gospel, several epistles, and the book of Revelation in the New Testament. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote (1 John 4:8), “God is charity,” also translated as “God is love.” Therefore, the ultimate definition of love is God Himself: God as perfect goodness. Thus the Biblical definition of love automatically excludes all evil and, in consequence, all affirmations of evil. This is why woke leftists’ argument that we must affirm sexual perversions, baby killing, and “transgenderism” to be loving is fundamentally false. It is loving to condemn murder, homosexuality, and other grave sins, but not to encourage them.
